As a special tribute to Her Majesty The Queen, a brand new song for the Commonwealth has been commissioned to mark the historical event.
The competition hosted by the Commonwealth Resounds organisation has crowned “A Life Lived with Grace” – music by Vincent Atueyi from Nigeria and lyrics by Lucy Kiely from Australia – as the official Commonwealth song for the Platinum Jubilee.
Choirs and communities across all 54 Commonwealth countries have been encouraged to take part in the celebrations and sing their own version of the song during the lighting of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons on 2 June.
