Tes, formally known as the Times Educational Supplement, has created a classroom activities pack on the Commonwealth in support of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, which will take place in London in April, 2018.
Designed in collaboration with the British Council and Commonwealth Secretariat, the pack contains four classroom-based activities created to help pupils with their understanding of the Commonwealth and the wider world.
Materials can be used in isolation or as part of a more comprehensive lesson, advises Tes.
In addition to providing activity ideas for tutor time and assemblies, the pack can also be used as teaching material on a number of subjects and topics, including Citizenship, Geography, Economics, History, General Studies, Art and Design, and Personal and Social Education (PSE).
Education is a key Commonwealth goal, with member nations aiming towards fully inclusive and accessible education and skills training for all Commonwealth citizens.
The pack is available to download here.
